What is the story of Kali-Lu Interiors and how it all began?

Kali-Lu Interiors was started by husband and wife duo Tessa Demidovich and Rafael Del Gallego. Our journey began in New York City, where we both started our careers and worked our way up the ladder in the interior design and construction fields.

After meeting each other in the stairway of the apartment building where we both lived, we bonded over our shared love for architecture, design and renovation. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Over the years, we had opportunities to collaborate on projects together in NYC and saw our potential for a future business partnership. After welcoming our twin daughters to the world in 2021, we decided to move out of the Big Apple to be closer to family and raise our daughters in the amazing state of Colorado where Tessa grew up.

Once in Denver, we had the opportunity to start from scratch and follow our dreams of opening our own company. That’s how Kali-Lu Interiors came to life—a company that blends sophisticated interior design with high-quality construction solutions. Each project is an opportunity to transform spaces and create homes that tell unique stories, and that’s the essence of what we do: bringing harmony and style into our clients’ lives.

Where does the company name Kali-Lu come from?

Our biggest inspiration for starting this company was our amazing twin daughters, Kalina and Luna. So, we named our company after them!

Kali-Lu is the combination of their names. Kali(na) – Lu(na) form Kali-Lu, and maybe someday they will run the company, too!
